My Summer of Yin

Summertime is my slow time. Seasonally speaking, I see this as an opportunity to gently downshift. My workouts soften, my diet decreases, I think of the Summer as my lazy time.

Summer is the season of Yang. It’s bright, it’s hot, it’s a time for action. So that’s why I offset it with Yin. Yin that is relative to the Summer.

Running hot in a time of high heat will lead to burn out. A common theme come Autumn. Working with our season, we respect the relationship we have with our environment.

Balance through opposition. Sometimes we have to go opposite in order to find that harmonious route.
